5 Housemates who have won the big brother Naija show

The Big Brother Naija show for this year is fast approaching. Auditions are currently on and will end on the 16th of May.

The Big Brother show is an annual reality competition program that is based on the Big Brother franchise.

The show has seen several housemates and exactly 5 winners since its inception in 2006.

Meet the Past Winners

1. Katung Aduwak won the very first edition of Big Brother Nigeria(Now called Big Brother Naija). He was given prize money of $100,000.

The 41-year old scriptwriter and producer emerged the winner in 2006, he was a graduate of political science. After the show, he served as channel manager at MTV Base for several years. He was also once the creative director at VIACOM International.

He is currently the CEO of One O Eight Media and African Partner for Campfire Media. Aduwak is married to Raven Taylor-Aduwak and has a son.

2. Efe Ejeba won the second edition of the show which held in 2017, 11 years after the first season. The theme of this season’s show was “See Gobe“.

Efe relocated to Lagos after winning the N25 million grand prize. He released an EP titled “Lagos EP“, the album had collaboration from Olamide.

He is a graduate of Economics and is popularly known for his song “Based on Logistics“. Not much has been heard of Efe lately but he continues to pursue his music career.

3. Miracle Ikechukwu Igbokwe won the third season of BBNaija themed “Double Wahala in 2018.

He was presented with a brand new Hyundai Tucson SUV, a N25 million cheque, home appliances worth N3 millon and a trip to an exotic location for two to total N45 million with of prizes.

Miracle also won N1 million cash prize from Payporte Arena Games and N200,000 from the Final Wager. He also won the Pepsi Refresh Your Mix, which fetched him N1 million and a trip to Dubai for the One Africa Music Fest, and a year’s supply of Pepsi and Aquafina.

After winning the show, he left for South Africa to an Aviation school to pursue his dreams. In 2019, Miracle obtained his certification as an “Instrument Rated” pilot.

4. Mercy Eke(aka Lambo) won the fourth season of the BBNaija television show in 2019. She is the first female ever to emerge as a winner on the show.

She got N60 million in cash and items. She, however, became Ambassador for several brands and made her debut acting in the “Fate of Alakada” Nollywood movie.

Mercy Eke is now a vixen and is into real estate management. She has been seen in the music videos of the likes of Davido, MC Galaxy, and Rudeboy.

5. Laycon won the 5th season of Big Brother Naija reality show tagged “BBNaija Lockdown” in the year 2020.

Laycon is a graduate of Philosophy from the university of Lagos. He became verified on Instagram on 22nd July 2020. He became the first housemate in the season to get the blue check on the photo-sharing website and has over 1.5 million followers.
