On Wednesday, the Kano State Magistrate Court, ruled over by Magistrate Farouk Ibrahim Umar, convicted Aliyu Yahuza, 20, and two other accomplices to seven months in prison each for adultery.
The defendants, who live at Goron Dutse Quarters in Kano, were found guilty of criminal conspiracy and adultery on two counts.
For adultery, Magistrate Farouk Ibrahim Umar sentenced the defendants to seven months in a correctional facility with hard labor or a N20,000 fine.
Also, Ibrahim Umar sentenced the defendants to 12 strokes of the cane for conspiracy.
The three convicted persons are Aliyu Yahuza, 20, Amir Rabiu, 19 and Musa Gambo, 19.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Mr Auwalu Dandago, informed the court that the defendants committed the offence on November 13, 2021 at Kofar Waika Quarters, Kano.
Dandago said that on the same date at about 2:00 p.m, the defendants criminally conspired took the 14-year-old girl into a house located at Kofar Waika Quarters and had sexual intercourse with her one after the other with her.
He said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 97 and 387 of the Penal Code.
